Adapted from the MineralsEd Junior Geologist Workshop, this fun and interactive quiz will help students to better understand the three main rock types, the rock cycle, and minerals in our everyday life. This activity is a good supplement to any class that is learning about mining, earth science, or geology. 

To celebrate Mining Month 2020 MineralsEd, in collaboration with the Association for Mineral Exploration, created four videos on different topics related to mining in BC! You will find all four videos on this page, along with the MineralsEd developed student quizzes to supplement the videos.

Explore five different mining communities across B.C. and learn all about B.C.’s mining heritage and legacy, the different minerals mined in B.C, and mining and the environment. At each stop, participants will be challenged to find information from a variety of interactive online sources and will be given a series of questions to answer.
