Neptune Terminals Field Trip

Description: As part of our Port of Vancouver exploration series, MineralsEd is partnering with Neptune Terminals to host an in-person Pro-D Day field trip tour of their harbourfront operations on the North Shore of Vancouver.

Neptune Terminals, one of the largest multi-product bulk terminals in North America, has been a part of the North Shore community for nearly 50 years. Over 15 million tonnes of potash, metallurgical coal, and phosphate rock are handled at their facilities annually! It is a gateway for some of Canada’s most important primary resources that are shipped around the world. Join us in-person to learn first-hand about the nature of their work with natural resources! This will be a valuable learning opportunity for teachers in many subject areas who seek working world connections and examples to integrate into their classroom.

Participants will be responsible for their own transportation to/from the meeting location. In order to maintain adequate social distance this field trip is limited to 12 participants - register early!
