Student Events

MineralsEd partners with mineral exploration and mining organizations in B.C. to facilitate geoscience workshops and activities at annual industry events. For example, the Mining Month Community Fair and student programs (elementary and secondary) at the Association for Mineral Exploration (AME) Roundup Conference.

BC Mining Month Community Fair 2026

MineralsEd will be hosting the BC Mining Month Community Fair in Vancouver on Wednesday, May 13th 2026. Geoscience organizations and mining and exploration companies will come together to present exhibits, demonstrations and hands-on activities on rocks, minerals, the mine development process, BC’s mineral resources, mineral products and sustainability. We will subsidize travel costs on a first come, first served basis for BC classrooms to attend this free event (up to $250 maximum).
