Earth Science Resource Unit

Are you teaching an Earth science unit but are missing some background and tools to do it justice? Our hands-on Intermediate/Secondary Earth Sciences workshop will give you all the tools necessary to teach a great unit while meeting your curriculum requirements. The heart of the unit is a creative collection of instructive activities and demonstrations that support Earth Sciences curriculum and help teach students the fundamentals of geology, rocks and minerals, the structure of Earth, plate tectonics, and the history of our planet. You will explore the entire resource kit and practice a selection of the activities from each chapter in the binder. This nature-based science unit lends itself to all styles of learning, especially those who learn best through place-based exploration and hands-on learning.

Presented by MineralsEd Partner-Teacher Kerry Lockwood.
